VirtuaTry is a prototype and concept for a smart phone application and web-plugin that allows users to make 3D scans of their bodies to be used to virtually try on garments in store and online. This project was completed with funding and support from the NY Media Lab Future of Retail challenge. To develop this project our research team looked at:

current interactive trends in technology and apparel retail
the individual apparel shopping experience
traffic flows and store layouts
For this research, we used methods of in-store observation and customer interviews.

For our concept prototype, our team was particularly focused on the challenge of bridging the in-store versus online experience.

Deliverables: Research, UI/UX workflow for application and final user scenario.

VirtuaTry was researched and prototyped in collaboration with Udit Mahajan and Kai Cheng.
